🍚 Vegetable Pulao Recipe using Appan Kitchen Pulao Masala

🧂 Ingredients
1 cup basmati rice (washed & soaked for 20 minutes)
2 tbsp oil or ghee
1 bay leaf
1-inch cinnamon stick
2–3 cloves
1 small onion (thinly sliced)
1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
1 cup mixed vegetables (carrot, beans, green peas, potatoes – chopped)
1–2 green chilies (slit, optional)
1 ½ tsp Appan Kitchen Pulao Masala
Salt to taste
2 cups water
Fresh coriander & mint leaves (for garnish)
👨🍳 Instructions
1. Sauté Spices and Onions
Heat oil or ghee in a deep pan or pressure cooker.
Add bay leaf, cinnamon, and cloves. Sauté for a few seconds until fragrant.
Add sliced onions and sauté until golden brown.
2. Add Veggies and Masala
Add ginger-garlic paste and green chilies. Sauté for 1 minute.
Add chopped vegetables and cook for 3–4 minutes.
Add Appan Pulao Masala and mix well.
3. Add Rice and Cook
Drain the soaked rice and add it to the pan. Gently mix without breaking the grains.
Pour in 2 cups of water and add salt to taste.
Bring to a boil, then reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 15–18 minutes (or pressure cook for 1 whistle, then let it sit for 10 minutes before opening).
4. Garnish and Serve
Once the rice is cooked and fluffy, garnish with fresh coriander and mint leaves.
